CORONAVIRUS -  BOOKING CONDITIONS - SUMMER 2021/2  (updated 18 December 2020)


Exclusively Lindos continues to monitor the worldwide events associated with the spread of Covid-19 and remains rapidly changing and evolving situation.    Please rest assured that the health and wellbeing of our clients, colleagues and the locals within Rhodes are our prime concern.  In such cases like this we are governed by regulations imposed by the FCDO  and the local Greek Government regarding travel.and entry restrictions.  For access to the most recent changes by the FCDO click here 
We are confident that Summer 2021 will continue and we can enjoy the haven that Rhodes offered our guests from July to October in 2020.   All properties and services offered by us or our business partners will continue to follow the strict regulations and Health First protocol laid out by the Greek government. .
We already have many bookings which have either been moved from 2020 or new bookings for 2021 and 2022.   For anything unrelated to Covid-19, then our usual Terms and Conditions apply and can be seen here

Should the FCDO restrict travel to Rhodes during your departure date, then the following should answer most questions and include an update to our standard terms and conditions.  
Q I have booked a Flight Inclusive package with Exclusively Lindos and received an ATOL Certificate
Where you have booked a package holiday with us, then you are protected under the Package Travel Regulations.  This means that where we are able to, we can offer an alternative holiday.  If we are unable to source a suitable alternative then we will refund all your monies to you.  If you have made your own arrangements for flights, car rental, airport parking, airport hotels, transfers etc then you will need to contact the airline and travel provider to see what options are open to you.   You would also need to refer to your own Travel Insurance policy to see what cover is included.
Q  I have booked accommodation only with Exclusively Lindos (properties exclusively contracted by EL)
If you have booked accommodation only with us, then you are not protected by the Package Travel Regulations and are not entitled to an alternative holiday.  In the majority of cases where the supplier/accommodation owner agrees we are offering the opportunity to defer your stay for any available dates until end of October 2022.    This can either be as a rebook now or a credit note and is not subject to our usual administration fees.  Please note you would be liable for any change in holiday costs.
Q  I have booked a non refundable option with Exclusively Lindos
Bookings which are non refundable are completely non changeable or non refundable as per the terms and conditions and we would advise you to contact your Travel Insurer.  Please contact us to discuss your options and where possible we will make the exception to defer your booking to another date valid until end of 2022 with an upgrade fee to the standard rate.  This is not a guaranteed right but we will do all we can to assist in these extraordinary circumstances.  
Q  I have booked a package holiday or villa only where Exclusively Lindos act as an agent on behalf of another tour operator/supplier, eg Solmar, Olympic, Jet2 etc
If we are acting as a retail agent on behalf of another operator, then we are completely governed by their terms and conditions and any updated policies.  If you have booked a package holiday with inclusive flights, then you will be protected under the Package Travel Regulations.  If you have booked accommodation/villa only then you would not be protected and would need to refer to your Travel Insurance provider.  In all cases we will be your main point of contact and will act in your best interests to find out what options are open to you with the operator.
Q  What if I decide I don't want to travel
If holidays continue to operate, then you will be subject to our normal terms and conditions and cancellation charges will apply  
Q  Am I entitled to compensation if I am unable to travel
As these circumstances are completely out of our control, you would not be entitled to any compensation
Q  I am thinking of booking accommodation only, how flexible is the cancellation policy 
In most cases for Exclusively Lindos exclusive properties, we are able to offer free cancellation or free move with no admin fees up until 30 days before arrival.  If the booking is cancelled within 30 days prior to arrival, then we can offer a free move to an alternative date in 2021/2022 or a credit note to be used with the same property or property group.   This applies to Covid related cancellations where travel or entry is restricted by the government or airline.   For any other reason, normal terms and conditions apply.   This applies only to standard rate bookings and we do not recommend you book a non refundable option in the current circumstances unless you have specific cover under your travel insurance. 
Q  How secure is my money?
Exclusively Lindos are part of the Travel Trust Association under the parent company of the Travel Network Group.  This business model has proved the safest during these unprecedented times as all your money is kept in a Trust Account until your holiday.   Your money is not used for cash flow or expenses and can only leave the Trust Account when it is signed out by two independent Trustees in order to pay the owner of your accommodation.  
If you are looking to book a flight inclusive package, then we do have to pay the airline up front.  Given challenges in 2020 with airline refunds, we are temporarily  stopping the sale of low cost flights (Jet2, Ryanair, Easyjet) using our ATOL license.  We suggest that you book your flights directly using a credit card for protection.  We can look at charter and schedule options with TUI and BA, so please check to see what we can offer. at tiem of booking  We will continue to 100% financially protect your accommodation, transfers and car hire under our Trust and Safe Seat Plan Guarantee scheme.  
In all cases, we will treat each booking individually and so we ask that you email us with your queries so we can assess and advise your best options.  Please put your reference number, lead name, accommodation and arrival date in the subject heading for existing bookings.  
Please note that for entry requirements and any specific information relating to your arrival, we will advise nearer the time.
